A somewhat strange thing happened today. Around noon, I went out to buy some lunch and I was walking down the busiest street in our little city, minding my own business...when a guy waved at me from his car and rolled down his window. I thought he must be one of those people I've met but don't recognize.... which happens *too* often. I have trouble remembering people.. (I'm icq'ing right now with a person who obviously recognizes me but whom I do not recognize.... *a moment of icq'ing* ah.... there we go... now I know who I'm icq'ing with....)

Anyway...we had a little conversation through the window.

guy: hello.
me: hi.
guy: how are you?
me: fine... how are you?
guy: good. doing a little shopping?
me: yeah.. and getting some food too.
guy: you live around here?
me: *blink* (thinking: i guess we *haven't* met before) yeah..
guy: do you have a boyfriend?
me: *blink blink* eh.. no..
guy: i know we've just met and everything, but would you like to go to dinner with me sometime?
me: *blink blink blink* that was kinda...sudden.
guy: yeah... but we could talk over coffee or something. i come from a town with only 4000 people where everyone knows everyone else...but i know people here are kinda cautious about strangers...
me: i come from toronto with three million people so i'm very paranoid.
guy: i understand if you don't want to.
me: thank you so much for asking, but i would rather not... because you *are* a stranger to me.
guy: okay. but it was nice meeting you. you're a very pretty woman.
me: *blink blink* eh... thank you. it was nice meeting you too.
guy: have a nice day.
me: you too.

--;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;; what was that? --;;;;;;;;; oh well.. at least he was a cute guy.... kinda normal looking caucasian in his mid twenties or so... not some weird middle aged man who usually hits on me. --;;;;;; but he could still be a serial killer or some psycho...

ah... and the guy i was icq'ing with turned out to be the guy i met at the anime con... Stelli-chan was saying he was looking at me like he was kinda interested in me...although I'm usually too dense to notice these things... --;;;;; hmmm... we're gonna have lunch together when i go back to TO. But then... Stelli-chan must have been mistaken.. I think he's two or three years younger than me...--;;;;;;;

I was volunteering...and I met an older lady... who bought me lots of bindaedduk (korean pizza)... and she told me that she wants me as her daughter-in-law. --;;; She said that her youngest son is five years older than me. She took my birth date and phone numbers, etc. --;;;;;;;;; I don't know whether to be flattered or flustered. Mostly, I think I'm amused... ^^;;;; But she was a really nice woman.

My best friend got into med school. ^____^ Since her school is one year shorter (and has no summers off), she'll be graduating at the same time as me. I'm sooo proud of her. *grin* *grin*

So she'll visit Korea with me this summer. I'm buying her the plane tickets as a gift. ^_____^ Aaaahhh... I'm so happy.........

Watched Tae Kwon Do demonstrations at the caravan today. I was so impressed. There were about 16 people, youngest being about 6 years old and the oldest in late teens. All 2nd or 3rd degree black belt.

One girl jumped over 8 crouching people and broke a pine board before landing. I was so impressed~! Ahhh... and there was this little boy who looked to be about 4 feet high...and he pushed off a wall and kicked a board that was about 7 feet high (held by a person sitting on another person's shoulders). OOOOhhhh....

I wonder if Metamia's busy. Maybe I'll drag her there so she can see it. It's gonna go on until next Saturday.

Watched Inu Yasha with Metamia today. Woww... my new obsession. This is bad. My obsessions are long lasting and expensive... -_-;;; Even Jekki cost me hundreds of dollars...(although I guess several hundred dollars over three years is not bad?)

I'm planning to buy a...stylus? I think that's what it's called.... And a laser printer. Need to borrow more money from the bank. I'll go see them around Thursday. Huh. Maybe I'll buy a DVD player too... Huh.. yeah right. I wish. Gaaaaahhhhh!!!! I'm so much in debt!!!!! It doesn't feel real any more!!!!

Fixed up blog.... a peaceful morning... sighhhhhh.....

The marks came out today. I passed everything. *grin* *grin* So I actually get to have a real vacation this summer.... for the first time in... three years. Oh, happiness....

But must go to dentist today. I think mom made that appointment for me as a social call. My dentist's son got into med school so I'm supposed to go there and congratulate the parents...

It's all okay. I'm so happy that I passed. *grin* *grin*

Thinking about dogs and stuff.....

I remember watching this commercial.. orange juice commercial, I think... and this one lady walked through what appeared to be rows of orange trees... first as a young girl, then as a young woman, then as a pregnant lady, and then as an older lady with a dog on the leash..... and I think... "Did she give birth to a dog?" Or so that seemed to be what the commercial was implying..........
